FTL MODA ANNOUNCES ITS SELECTION OF DESIGNERS FOR THE UPCOMING SS2016 PRESENTATION AT NYFW

Fashion House Partners with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and Global Disability Inclusion for Groundbreaking Runway Shows

New York, NY, August 7, 2015 — /EPR NETWORK/ — FTL MODA has joined forces with the Christopher & Dana Reeve as a nonprofit partner for NYFW Spring/Summer 2016 (SS2016) for its presentation on September 13, 2015 at the historic Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Station. With a shared mission to push boundaries and challenge disability stereotypes on runways and beyond, the upcoming chapter of FTL MODA at NYFW promises to impact the global fashion scene.

In a groundbreaking event last February, FTL MODA’s finale show featured models from around the world living with disabilities, setting a critical precedent about inclusion and the importance of redefining fashion industry standards. By partnering with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and Global Disability Inclusion, FTL MODA will once again cast a diverse range of models, including models living with disabilities, as part of the lineup for the upcoming SS2016 catwalk.

FTL MODA continues its tradition of showcasing outstanding and prestigious designers. The selection of designers for FTL MODA SS2016 includes Carmen Steffens (Brazil), Anna’s Loud (Italy), Wild (Germany), Archana Korchhar (India), Alexandra Frida (the Netherlands), and Hendrik Vermeulen (South Africa). The opening show will feature acclaimed South American brand Carmen Steffens, debuting at NYFW with world-class top models and special VIPs in attendance. The shows promise to be innovative and cutting-edge under the dramatic make-up direction of top international MUA Einat Dan and Valeria Orlando.

A two-day showroom activation will follow the FTL MODA runway presentation at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan, on September 16th and 17th, with highly renowned fashion blogger and ASVOFF Film Festival President Diane Pernet as the keynote speaker.

Dave’s Jeans feature a 2” lower waistline and more slim-fitted legs than other men’s pants from The Stockroom’s latex brand Syren Couture. A fit and silhouette that Dave has custom- ordered for years. Striking black latex Blazers will also be offered in three designs. Dave will debut a very unique version of The Blazer on the finale of Ink Master on the SPIKE network Tuesday, December 16th at 10pm EST.

Additionally, the line will include Black Gloves with heavy steel zippers, and Latex Gauntlets. All 5 pieces in the collection are made by hand by the artisan staff at The Stockroom’s Los Angeles facility on W Sunset Blvd in Silverlake and were designed with Dave. Fashion search engine site Style in View announces new partnership with ASOS

The fashion search engine Style in View recently announced that it was forming a partnership with global company ASOS.com, the fashion and beauty retailer.


Recently launched in beta, Style in View plans to collect all the latest looks from both the high street and boutiques. The aim is to make it easier for shoppers in the UK to find information on the latest trends all in one place. This week will see the first ASOS products appearing on Style in View.

Style in View co- founder Dexter Grima said that he was “very excited” about the arrangement with ASOS, as it has gained a reputation for having the “latest fashion and styles”, and is Britain’s “largest online-only fashion and beauty retailer”. ASOS has its own fashion line, as well as selling other brands and, Mr. Grima added, Style in View plans to add them within the next week. ASOS has a target audience of males and females aged between 18 and 34, and Mr. Grima is optimistic that Style in View will help young shoppers “find the latest trends and styles at prices that are more affordable.”

Thousands more brands from major retailers are to be added by Style in View in the next twelve months.

AllSaints stay true to their ageless style by portraying the older and younger interpretations of the collection with the sole use of Ward and Simonon. This is a first campaign for the retailer that see’s the use of several models to convey the different design aspects of the brand, from edgy laid-back shots filled with that signature AllSaints attitude to the delicate feminine shots giving a softer contrasting perspective.

Each definitive new season piece has been developed by in-house designers and fabric technicians, to perfect the cuts and accents that embody the classic spirit of the brand.

Be inspired by the SS12 Womenswear collection, a directional and innovative range of pieces; including reptile influenced styles such as the Serpent Chelsea Boot and Vintage Serpent Court are made using authentic Snakeskin with a vintage effect – both styles are made entirely by hand by master craftsman.

Graphic Tee’s are focused around hand-illustrated prints that are made up of monochrome blocking and tribal elements. The graphite and discharge prints are highlighted with iridescent metallic foils for a shimmering effect. View the Womens Graphic T-shirts range.

Other recurring themes running throughout the collection include influences from the Ikat weaves in India. The Ikat print is dispersed across a range of Maxi and Mini Dresses, Skirts, Bikini’s and Summer scarves. Paying reference to London and the local Spitalfields area, AllSaints this season, have adorned luxurious Cashmere Knitwear and incredibly soft Lambskin with Pearly Kings and Queens motifs that are hand embellished using traditional Mother of Pearl rusty buttons and sequins.

The Menswear range embodies the classic spirit of AllSaints with authentic textures and contemporary silhouettes for the modern Man. This season, the Menswear Design team have developed complex garment patterns, large scale prints and worn-in washing techniques to perfect the deep stone tones, durable waxed textures and streamline silhouettes of the collection.

Printed Shirting is a key staple to the collection with large-scale discharge prints featuring the classic Moth print and Hawaii inspired floral motifs in the Rockpile L/s Shirt. These styles have been given a heavy bleach launder for a vintage finish and soft hand feel.

A focus on texture and construction are key to the Men’s Knitwear SS12 collection, placing a heavy emphasis on this season’s colour and pattern blocking technique. Expect to see loose net knits and two-tone textures that are perfect for versatile layering with a distinctly premium appeal. The Gridd Crew and Hoodie are made using a linen blend yarn in an all-over open stitch and are finished with a ribbed hem, cuffs and collar.
