AllSaints have now launched their Spring/Summer 2012 collection with a diverse range of new season essential styles for Menswear and Womenswear. For SS12 the British fashion retailer introduces a collection of Mens and Womens styles that are pivotal to all wardrobes.

The launch comes with a fresh new feel for the season with the campaign being shot by globally renowned British photographer, Boo George. Showcasing the Spring 2012 collection are models Tony Ward, Claude Simonon, Kate Harrison and Sophie Dickens. AllSaints stay true to their ageless style by portraying the older and younger interpretations of the collection with the sole use of Ward and Simonon. This is a first campaign for the retailer that see’s the use of several models to convey the different design aspects of the brand, from edgy laid-back shots filled with that signature AllSaints attitude to the delicate feminine shots giving a softer contrasting perspective.

Each definitive new season piece has been developed by in-house designers and fabric technicians, to perfect the cuts and accents that embody the classic spirit of the brand.

Be inspired by the SS12 Womenswear collection, a directional and innovative range of pieces; including reptile influenced styles such as the Serpent Chelsea Boot and Vintage Serpent Court are made using authentic Snakeskin with a vintage effect – both styles are made entirely by hand by master craftsman.

Graphic Tee’s are focused around hand-illustrated prints that are made up of monochrome blocking and tribal elements. The graphite and discharge prints are highlighted with iridescent metallic foils for a shimmering effect. View the Womens Graphic T-shirts range.

Other recurring themes running throughout the collection include influences from the Ikat weaves in India. The Ikat print is dispersed across a range of Maxi and Mini Dresses, Skirts, Bikini’s and Summer scarves. Inspiration is also derived from Native American artwork, with designs hand-embellished onto eveningwear, premium Bikini separates and the signature densely hand-embellished Mini Dresses and Skirts that AllSaints is renowned for.

Paying reference to London and the local Spitalfields area, AllSaints this season, have adorned luxurious Cashmere Knitwear and incredibly soft Lambskin with Pearly Kings and Queens motifs that are hand embellished using traditional Mother of Pearl rusty buttons and sequins.

The Menswear range embodies the classic spirit of AllSaints with authentic textures and contemporary silhouettes for the modern Man. This season, the Menswear Design team have developed complex garment patterns, large scale prints and worn-in washing techniques to perfect the deep stone tones, durable waxed textures and streamline silhouettes of the collection.

Printed Shirting is a key staple to the collection with large-scale discharge prints featuring the classic Moth print and Hawaii inspired floral motifs in the Rockpile L/s Shirt. These styles have been given a heavy bleach launder for a vintage finish and soft hand feel.

A focus on texture and construction are key to the Men’s Knitwear SS12 collection, placing a heavy emphasis on this season’s colour and pattern blocking technique. Expect to see loose net knits and two-tone textures that are perfect for versatile layering with a distinctly premium appeal. The Gridd Crew and Hoodie are made using a linen blend yarn in an all-over open stitch and are finished with a ribbed hem, cuffs and collar.

A new virtual fitting room, designed to let online shoppers using the website of fashion retailer Quiz see how they might look in their chosen outfit, has gone down a storm with customers.

The UK-based women’s clothing specialist unveiled the feature at the end of 2011, following a major makeover of its website.

By clicking on the ‘fitting room’ tab of Quiz’s website, users can take control of a 3D avatar which they are able to alter to reflect their own body. Height, weight, bra size, waist and hip measurements can all be altered, along with hair colour, to make the virtual model as realistic as possible. Once a customer has created their model, they can select their chosen items of clothing from the site and build up an outfit, using everything from evening dresses and maxi dresses to jewellery and footwear.

When the user has come up with their very own classic outfit, there is no need to keep it a secret. Instead, they can print out the image to show to friends, or share it over the internet using Facebook and Twitter.

Haroun Saleemi – E-commerce Manager at Quiz said: “The idea behind the virtual fitting room was to take our online shopping experience a step further, and make it easier than ever for women to get a feel for the huge range of dresses, footwear and accessories that we have available online.

“One of the comments we kept hearing from customers was about how much of a difference it would make to be able to get more of an idea how an item of clothing would actually look. From the feedback we’ve received so far, the virtual fitting room has made that a reality and customers are really making the most of it.”

Additional changes to the website include a new sleek design, along with an updated navigation system to make getting around the site quicker and easier. The special ‘Mastering Speed for 150 Years’ logo has been placed on the dial at the 9 ’o clock and also features on the Sapphire Crystal case back. Both the chronograph and the stitching on the leather strap are adorned with traditional Indian saffron colours.

No Price on Love say Romantic Brits in DiscountVouchers.co.uk Poll

UK citizens often think of themselves as pretty romantic and the latest poll conducted by voucher code website DiscountVouchers.co.uk shows that people still won’t allow money to be a barrier to love and relationships.

Almost 40% of people polled reported that they consider there is “no price on love” when polled about their opinion on how much to pay for an engagement ring. 11% of respondents still maintain that men should pay twice their monthly wage for an engagement ring and the poll showed that a further 30% are prepared to spend up to £500 on the token of love.

When it comes to making a first impression on a potential partner, 75% are happy to go shopping for a new outfit in advance of a first date. The poll also showed that 65% are happy to split a restaurant bill in half and in a bid to appear in control of oneself, 67% would not choose the most expensive dish or item on a menu - even if it might be their favourite food.

In the early stages of a new relationship - the first three months - 57% admit to being taken out to dinner by a new partner while 46% received gifts of flowers. One quarter of people said they had been bought jewellery as a gift by new partners and 20% get spoiled with a luxury weekend away. Just 5% of respondents said that their new other half bought them some new lingerie.

Further on in relationships, the DiscountVouchers.co.uk poll revealed that almost a quarter would ditch a partner if they believed they were stingy with money. However on the flip side there were 37% who felt parsimony wasn’t a factor in their relationship - while the same amount would not break up with a partner even if they came to think that they were somewhat stingy.

The poll also showed new relationships are a pricey business, with 42% prepared to think about an overdraft to make an impression on a new partner.

When it comes to the next stage after an engagement, a huge 94% of people surveyed said that they did not believe the family of the bride need pay all the wedding bills.
